Technology Information 


Find the technology resources you need as an OLLI member, including how to connect to campus WiFi, access Google Workspace tools, use Zoom for virtual workshops, and get remote technology assistance. Step-by-step guides, troubleshooting support, and one-on-one training are available for all devices.

 

The WolfieNet-Secure is the preferred wireless network to access WiFi on Stony Brook's campus. Connect to WolfieNet in order to join Zoom workshops while you're on campus.

You need your NetID and password to connect to WolfieNet. If you need assistance with establishing or accessing your NetID and password, please email olli@stonybrook.edu.

Use the NetID password reset tool to view your NetID and set up or reset your password.

To use the tool, you will need:

  • Your SBU ID number
  • Access to the email address you used when you registered for OLLI

All OLLI members receive access to Google Workspace through Stony Brook University, which includes tools like Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and more. You can use these tools to store files, collaborate with others, and manage your OLLI-related communications.

A step-by-step guide to help OLLI members get started with Zoom, join workshops, troubleshoot audio and video issues, and use participation features like chat, reactions, and screen sharing.

OLLI offers one-on-one and group Zoom training for both members and workshop leaders, as well as advanced Zoom sessions and demo workshops for Lecture Series speakers. Check your email for upcoming training sessions, or email olli@stonybrook.edu to schedule a one-on-one session.

Need real-time help? Student assistants can assist with common issues such as lost Zoom schedules, broken workshop links, password problems, waiting room access, and audio or video troubleshooting. Contact olli@stonybrook.edu for support. During business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM), you'll receive a response within 30 minutes. Requests sent outside business hours will be addressed the next business day in the order received.
