Psychology

Psychology department graduate courses require prerequisites and are often filled to capacity. It is possible that some courses could admit a Ph.D. student from outside the department's graduate programs if the student had the right qualifications (for instance, someone from a cooperating university that is part of the Inter-University Doctoral Consortium, or is enrolled the Human-Centered Date Science Advanced Graduate Certificate).

Please note that the Clinical PhD Program does not admit GSP students into their PhD courses.  These courses may be identified by visiting the Psychology Department website.

To receive information as to which courses are open to non-matriculated students, please contact the Psychology Graduate Office at PsyGrad@stonybrook.edu. Once an available course has been identified, non-matriculated students must request and receive approval to enroll from the course instructor.  All requests must cc both the Graduate Program Coordinator and the Graduate Program Director.

  • HPH 554

Review the HSC course listing for "Courses Open to West Campus Students" for more information.
