EMNL welcomes first year Ph.D. candidate Mr. Bin Cheng

Bin comes to Stony Brook University from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics
with a BE in Materials Science and Engineering. His Ph.D. research will focus on
understanding the deformation behavior in crystalline-amorphous nanolaminates.
EMNL welcomes its first Ph.D. candidate Ms. Olivia Donaldson.

Olivia comes to Stony Brook University from Villanova University with a B.S. and M.S.
in Chemical Engineering. Her Ph.D. research will focus on the synthesis, thermal
stability, and irradiation tolerance of BCC nanocrystalline metals.
Prof. Jason Trelewicz joins the faculty at Stony Brook University and starts EMNL

Jason joins Stony Brook University as an Assistant Professor of Materials Science
and Engineering. Jason received a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from
MIT in 2008 under the direction of Prof. Christopher Schuh, and comes to Stony Brook
University after spending four years in industry as a Program Director at MesoScribe
Technologies.
