Congratulations to the class of 2022!

I am looking forward to welcoming you and your families to our Chemistry Department’s 52nd Convocation. This year, we will have a reception at the Charles B. Wang Center Theater at 8:00 am followed by the cermony at 8:45 am.  You have faced unprecedented challenges but you have succeeded, and we wish you all the best for the next stage of your journey.

Message from Dr. Nicole Sampson, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Chemistry

Congratulations Department of Chemistry Class of 2022 and to the parents, partners, siblings, and friends who supported them. Thank you for joining us to honor our students and be a part of this special celebration.

The past year has brought new challenges that many of us have never experienced in our lives. And yet here we are, celebrating your journey and looking forward to your next chosen path, while certainly never forgetting your last year at Stony Brook University.

I applaud each of you, our amazing Seawolves! Our courageous, tenacious and dedicated students who did not lose sight of the finish line, eager to complete this phase of your education and achieve your dreams. Our next wave of leaders.

Today, toss your caps in the air. You made it! Be safe and well.
