Financial Concerns
If you see a student who is experiencing an acute crisis that has or could adversely
impact their ability to make continued progress toward attaining their degree, contact
the student support team at

SBU students in need of a laptop can request to borrow one through the Laptop Loan Program For Students.
The SBU Food Pantry provides food items for food-insecure students, staff, and faculty on Stony Brook’s campus.
Students may also consider working part-time to offset some of their educational expenses. The Stony Brook University Career Center can provide assistance with on or off-campus employment opportunities.
For questions specifically related to a student’s financial aid package, including loans, scholarships and grants, they should contact the Office of Financial Aid directly.
