The Stony Brook Foundation (SBF) is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to advance the goals and strategic plan of Stony Brook University by raising and managing private funds on the university’s behalf.

The Foundation Relations team staff will assist you in navigating Stony Brook University to find the right opportunity to deepen your foundation’s relationship with our community, aligning your mission and goals with our transformative programming and world-class research.

As the chief research officer for Stony Brook University, the vice president for research carries out research and intellectual endeavors of the highest international standards that advance knowledge and have immediate or long-range practical significance, while providing leadership for economic growth, technology and culture for neighboring communities and the wider geographic region.

The office of Alumni Relations works collaboratively with the Alumni Association and is committed to helping you sustain a lifelong and meaningful relationship with Stony Brook University. We offer you valuable benefits, services, alumni career coaching and counseling, alumni volunteer opportunities and engaging experiences around the globe to keep you close to your alma mater.

The Career Center educates students and alumni about the career development process and industry options, empowering them to make informed career decisions and preparing them for experiential learning, employment and further education. The mission of the Staller Center for the Arts is to educate, enlighten and entertain audiences across the university, greater community and region. We produce and present outstanding and diverse professional and university-sponsored performances, exhibits and educational programs in the areas of music, dance, theater, film and fine art. Funds raised directly impact the caliber of performers we are able to secure, keep our ticket prices affordable and accessible, and directly benefit our amazing arts and education outreach efforts on Long Island.

The SUNY Research Foundation (RF) works with the academic and business leadership of SUNY campuses to facilitate research and discovery by administering sponsored projects and delivering intellectual property and technology transfer services that fuel innovation and move ideas and inventions to the marketplace.

The university and hospital Community Relations office serves as the liaison between Stony Brook University, Stony Brook University Hospital and neighboring communities. We serve to develop, build and maintain relationships with local businesses and civic leaders, increase collaboration and foster communication with local community partners, and promote initiatives that help improve the health, wellness and overall quality of life of our communities.
