Walter J. Hawrys Campus Recreation Center
The Stony Brook University Alumni Association has arranged for discounted rates on
alumni memberships at the 85,000-square-foot facility, which includes a three-court
gymnasium, three fitness studios, nearly 17,000 square feet of combined free-weight,
fitness, cardio and stretching space, and a 1/10 mile track.
Alumni membership includes use of the fitness equipment, indoor track and participation
in informal open recreation and educational workshops.

The University Pool has six lanes that are 25 meters long. Lap swim is available during open recreation times.

This offer does not include intramural sports, fitness and wellness classes, club sports and trips. Alumni must abide by all of the same Policies & Procedures of the Campus Recreation Center.

services, Stony Brook University Libraries service alumni, students, faculty and the
surrounding community.

Some restrictions apply concerning databases and Interlibrary Loan.
School of Professional Development
Stony Brook University’s School of Professional Development (SPD) offers 26 graduate
degree and certificate programs and an array of new, innovative micro-credentials
in a variety of face-to-face and online formats. As a benefit to alumni, SPD will
waive the graduate student application fee. In addition, alumni can receive a 10 percent
discount on any career development (non-credit) offerings.
