TA Position Details
Work as a Teaching Assistant (TA) with the Academy of Civic Life from July 10–30, 2022! The Academy offers an opportunity to high school students from traditionally disenfranchised and underrepresented communities to experience college life and learning. Our Undergraduate TAs are an integral part of supporting and mentoring these students as they work to make a difference.
The Academy of Civic Life is seeking Undergraduate Teaching Assistants to work alongside Stony Brook University faculty and the Academy’s high school student cohort. We are looking to hire students who have an interest in civic engagement, politics, and issues of racial, social, and economic justice, and who are passionate about mentoring and supporting high school students. Undergraduate TAs should be excited about helping students from historically marginalized and disenfranchised groups and invested in giving back to communities.

Students must register for GLI 402 in Spring 2022 in order to be eligible for the TA positions.
