How to Apply

Applications are closed until next year. Check back next February for the applications to open again! 

In order to apply for the Academy of Civic Life, students must submit the following: 

  • Completed Academy of Civic Life online application. The application will include basic information about the student, their academics, and their families, as well as short essay prompts that encourage students to explain their interest in the program. 
  • The name and contact information for reference. After students sumbit their applications, references will be contacted and asked to complete a form evaluating students’ academic potential, leadership, maturity, critical thinking skills, and community engagement, and to provide a brief statement about why the student is a good fit for the program. 
  • High school transcript . After students submit their applications, high school guidance counselors will be contacted so that they can send us copies of your transcript.
