Nearly every state offers early voting options, whether in-person or by mail, that allow you to vote on your schedule. Transportation
Lyft is offering discounted rides on Election Day at a 50% discount (up to $10) for rides to the polls. Just preload the code, VOTE24, on or before November 5*. The code is valid from 5 AM to 10 PM in every time zone, and can be used on a rideshare, bikeshare, or scooter ride.
Uber is also offering discounted rides on Election Day at a 50% discount (up to $10) for rides to the polls. When you open your Uber app on Election Day, you’ll see a dedicated ‘Go Vote!’ tile on the home screen. Quantities limited, while supplies last. Offer available starting at 4:00 AM local time on November 5, 2024 and expires at 11:59 PM local time on November 5, 2024. Activate the promo code by using the “Go Vote” button within the app to request a ride to your polling location. 50% discount valid for one (1) trip, excluding Reserve, that ends at your polling location, up to a maximum discount of $10. One time use only. Non-transferable. Discount does not apply to surcharges, government fees, tolls, or tips and cannot be combined with other offers or discounts. For accounts with multiple valid promo codes, the promo with the highest savings will automatically apply to a rider’s next trip. Offer and terms subject to change.
Stony Brook Southampton Shuttles will be coordinated on Election Day by the SBSH Student Life staff to the closest polling sites to that campus footprint on Election Day (note: Stony Brook Southampton is an Early Voting site host, so students who frequent that campus who are registered to vote in Suffolk County are strongly encouraged to vote there between 10/26 - 11/3.) SHUTTLE RIDES MUST BE RESERVED IN ADVANCE.Request transportation via this form.
