The College of Business (CoB) and Stony Brook University (SBU) are committed to your academic and professional success. As a student in our graduate programs, we want to be sure you have access to and utilize our robust support services and resources.

Here in the College of Business we host Networking Events, Corporate Visits and have an Alumni Mentorship program all to bolster the CoB and SBU professional resources already available. Our students are career ready and supported from the day they step foot on campus.

The Studio is a collaborative space designed to empower students as they prepare for their careers. Whether you’re gearing up for the workforce, meeting with our career coach, or fine-tuning your job applications, The Studio is your hub for all things career-related.

We also offer resources and workshops focused on crafting standout resumes, writing compelling cover letters and navigating the job search process.

The Stony Brook University Career Center is the hub of professional development and support for students and alumni. In conjunction with their team, the College of Business hosts various events throughout the year to support student success outside the classroom. The Career center hosts Bi-annual career fairs for the CoB, workshops for mock interviews/interviewing skills, resume workshops, campus-wide recruitment events with top tier and local employers.

International Student Immigration Compliance for Work Authorization

CPT/OPT and beyond

International graduate students need to be compliant and in-status to maintain their student visa both while studying and working. Visa and Immigration Services(VIS) provides resources and advisement on CPT, OPT and regulations related to employment and professional experiences as an international students.

Through your time at Stony Brook University, the VIS office hosts various workshops to ensure you complete documentation correctly and meet the various Department of State (DOS) deadlines for work authorization approval.
