Our Art Galleries

Stony Brook University is home to three art galleries, the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery, presenting contemporary art, the Charles B. Wang Center focused on Asian and Asian-American culture, and the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, offering innovative exhibitions of art, math, & science. The Melville Library exhibits items from Special Collections as well as student art. Experience all of our art venues by joining a campus-wide Art Crawl, offering lively curator-led tours each semester.

The Staller Center for the Arts is a unique hub of activity offering world-class live performances and outstanding entertainment conveniently located in the center of campus. Take in dance, music, theatrical performances, movies, and shows you won’t see anywhere else.

Beyond the Brook is the "What to Do, Where to Go Outside of SBU" website! Stony Brook is located at the geographic midpoint of Long Island. The campus lies about 60 miles east of New York City and 60 miles west of Montauk Point. It is only a short distance to the beaches of Fire Island and the historic monuments and museums of New York City.
