The Provost's Office is responsible for sustaining and empowering academic excellence and sound budgetary practices across the range of programs in Stony Brook University's colleges, schools, centers and institutes.
We work with partners across Stony Brook to set priorities and make decisions that align with the University's five-part mission.
Vice Provost Areas
Vice provosts, including at the senior associate and associate ranks, are Stony Brook's senior academic administrators.
They help set priorities and strategic goals across the Provost's Office, and oversee the implementation of those plans in their areas of focus and expertise.
