Construction

The Construction team within Campus Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC) manages the execution of capital and locally funded projects across campus. From pre-construction and design through to construction and occupancy, the team ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with university standards, timelines, and budgets.

What We Do

  • Oversee construction for capital and locally funded projects
    Coordinate contractors, consultants, and campus stakeholders throughout all phases of construction
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall progress
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract documents, design intent, and university standards
  • Enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Support project closeout, inspections, and final documentation

Project Initiation Requirements

All construction and renovation work on campus must be coordinated through CPDC. Departments and units may not initiate projects independently.

An approved project request and assigned MP2 number are required prior to the start of any work.
