Wenbo Li joined the School of Communication and Journalism and the Alda Center for
Communicating Science as an assistant professor of science communication in 2022.
His research examines how emerging media technologies influence public understanding, engagement, and behavior around science and health, with a particular focus on their impact on individual and collective wellbeing.
Li’s research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including Communication Monographs, Communication Research, Journal of Health Communication, Media Psychology, New Media & Society, and Science Communication. Prior to entering academia, he worked as a journalist in Beijing, covering international business and technology for several major publications, including Bloomberg Businessweek.
He earned his Ph.D. in Communication from Ohio State University.
