Physics Graduate Student Association

Our department has an active Physics Graduate Student Association, which organizes many events and maintains a wiki with useful information (the Department does not maintain this wiki and is not responsible for its content). You can reach the PGSA by email with any questions beyond what’s on their pages.

The PGSA is also one of the best sources of practical, student-to-student advice on courses and the comprehensive exam. Their wiki has advice on preparing for the comps, and there is also a PGSA GitHub of comps study resources – both written by students who have recently been through it themselves.
