Make a Gift by Check or Credit Card or Digital Wallet
Thank you for considering a gift to Stony Brook. Gifts made via check or credit card are immediately available for the area or purpose you wish to support.
Gifts should be made in U.S. currency and payable to the Stony Brook Foundation Inc. Foreign currency will be valued at the U.S. dollar equivalent on the date the gift is received.
SBU accepts Apple Pay, CashApp, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo and all major credit cards.
If you wish to make a gift by check, please make your check payable to the Stony Brook Foundation Inc. with your fund designated in the memo portion of the check. For example, you may indicate that it is an unrestricted gift, provide a general description (example: Nursing Scholarships) or include the exact fund name and/or fund number. All gifts received by mail are recorded and credited for tax purposes based on the
date postmarked on the outer envelope.
You will receive a mailed receipt from the Stony Brook Foundation within a few days
of the receipt of your gift. Donors who make gifts of $250 or more throughout the
calendar year will also receive a summary of all contributions each January that may
be used for your tax purposes.
