Drury (BA '05) and am Ende (PhD '13) Honored among 40 Under Forty

Drury (left) and am Ende (right)Congratulations to Kristen Drury (BA, Chemistry 2005) and Christopher am Ende (MS, 2008; PhD, 2013), who are both selected to be honored among Stony Brook’s 2019 40 under Forty!

Kristen Drury did undergraduate research with Distinguished Teaching Prof. Kerber and went on to earn an MA in Liberal Studies at Stony Brook. She teaches at William Floyd High School and was named the 2018 American Association of Chemistry Teachers’ Chemistry Teacher of the Year.

Christopher am Ende earned an MS degree working with Distinguished Prof. Tonge (Synthesis of Inhibitors of the Enoyl Reductase in Mycobacterium tuberculosis) and went on to do his PhD dissertation research with Distinguished Prof. Parker (Total Synthesis of Bisabosqual A). He is currently a Senior Principal Chemist at Pfizer.
