Associate or Full Professor

The Department of Chemistry at Stony Brook University seeks to hire a tenure track faculty member at the Associate or Full Professor level to begin in Fall 2024 with expertise in any field of synthetic chemistry. The applicant must have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Chemistry or a closely related field. Emphasis will be placed on candidates with strength in synthetic organic and/or medicinal chemistry. Applications that include next-generation synthetic strategies, such as data-driven approaches, autonomation, high-throughput methods, microfluidics/flow chemistry and/or advanced catalysis, are particularly welcome. The new faculty member is expected to have already established a vibrant, extramurally funded research program and have a strong commitment to teaching chemistry to a diverse body of undergraduate and graduate students. Assistant Professor

The Department of Chemistry at Stony Brook University seeks to hire a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level to begin Fall 2024. Applicants with expertise in the areas of chemical biology or physical chemistry, broadly defined, are encouraged to apply. The new faculty member is expected to establish a vibrant, extramurally funded research program that synergizes with existing chemistry faculty and contributes to Stony Brook University’s strategic priorities in global health, quantum information, and climate change.
