Meet SWE!

The Society of Women Engineers is a national organization that empowers students in engineering and technology. At Stony Brook, SWE hosts a variety of professional and social events through workshops, company tours and lectures, participates in community outreach throughout the academic year to help students achieve their goals. Mission

Part of a national organization, the Society of Women Engineers aims to motivate students to become leaders in their careers as engineers, expand the idea of engineering as a means of improving the quality of life, and increase the diversity of the engineering profession.

SWE is an organization that represents both students and professionals in engineering and technical fields. SWE at Stony Brook actively assists its members in professional development through workshops, company tours and lectures.

This organization is open to all members of the Stony Brook community regardless of gender.

General Body Meeting

Come learn more about SWE, fun and exciting events the club is planning, and meet other students!

SWE holds their General Body Meetings (GBMs) every two weeks at 7:00pm during the semester.

SWE Events

SWE organizes a variety of events and workshops throughout the semester that allow you to make friends and have some fun. SWE also hosts events that will you help develop professionally.

SWE hosts events like Evening with the Industries in the fall semester and Discover STEM Day in the spring.
