The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) is a national organization dedicated to the advancement of Asian heritage scientists and engineers in education and employment so that they can achieve their full career potential. In addition to professional development, SASE encourages members to contribute to the enhancement of the communities where they live. SASE’s mission is to prepare Asian heritage scientists and engineers for success in the global business world, celebrate diversity on campuses and in the workplace, and provide opportunities for members to make contributions to their local communities.

Mission

Stony Brook Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers was founded in 2012. SASE is a professional organization that strives to empower and prepare Asian Scientists and Engineers for success in the professional workplace. In addition to professional development, Stony Brook SASE aims to celebrate diversity on campus and encourages members to become leaders in their local communities. Our community accomplishes this through our professional and social events, mentorship program, and participation in SASE National and Regional conferences. SBU SASE welcomes students of all ethnic backgrounds.

SASE Events

SASE organizes a variety of events and workshops throughout the semester that allow you to make friends and have some fun. In addition, SASE hosts a variety of events that will you help develop professionally, such as workshops, pre-conference events, mentoring opportunities and more.

Fall events include pre-conference preparation. And in the Spring SASE holds mentee general meetings and company tours.
