CEAS Undergraduate Student Office
Across 9 academic departments, The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) offers 13 majors and over 40 minors and specializations, each managed by a dedicated Undergraduate Program Director. The CEAS Undergraduate Student Office assists students majoring in, and those interested in pursuing CEAS undergraduate programs.
- Accelerated Degrees: Many CEAS majors allow you to earn both your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in just 5 years.
- Honors and Special Programs: Stony Brook University and CEAS offer special programs and tracks for high-achieving
students, including:
- Computer Science Honors Program
- Engineering Scholars for Dental Medicine
- Engineering Scholars for Medicine
- Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program
Partnered Support for Your Success
The Undergraduate Student Office drives student success by partnering with campus support areas to:
- Award CEAS scholarships in coordination with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship
- Support course tutoring through the Academic Success and Tutoring Center
- Connect students to internships and jobs alongside the Career Center and industry partners
The College of Engineering & Applied Sciences (CEAS) Undergraduate Student Office assists students majoring in, and those interested in pursuing CEAS programs. Dedicated to student success, the Undergraduate Student Office drives recruitment efforts for incoming freshman and transfer applicants, leads coordinate numerous College-wide events, and coaches CEAS-related student organizations.The CEAS Undergraduate Student Office offers the following advising services:
- Degree & Curriculum Planning: Stony Brook Curriculum (SBC) and major-specific requirements for CEAS majors;
- Majors & Minors: Program information, application criteria, and admission procedures;
- Academic Policy & Standing: Academic status guidance, petitions for academic exceptions;
- Course Administration: Registration support, schedule planning, and transfer credit evaluations;
- Career Development: Internship and job search guidance, including resume reviews in partnership with the Career Center;
- Student Programs: CEAS-specific scholarships and the Peer Mentoring Program;
