The Biology minor at Stony Brook University is designed for students who wish to explore
biological sciences while pursuing a different primary major. To successfully complete the minor, students must meet the following criteria: Total Credits: A minimum of 20 credits in BIO designated courses Advanced Coursework: At least 9 credits must be at the 300 level or higher. Minimum Grade: All courses must be taken for a letter grade and passed with a C or
higher. Residency: All advanced (300-level+) courses must be BIO-designator courses taken
specifically at Stony Brook University. The Biology minor is open to most students, with the exception of those already majoring
in closely related fields. You cannot elect this minor if your major is: Biology Biochemistry Human Evolutionary Biology Pharmacology Marine Sciences Marine Vertebrate BiologyBiology Minor
