Freshman Application Procedures and Deadlines

To apply for admission as a freshman, please choose one of the following options:

 

common application
OR
apply suny

Option 1: The Common Application allows you to apply to more than 400 participating schools with one application. It includes a mandatory Supplement, an essay of at least 250 words, and an online Teacher/Counselor School Forms System. The fee is $50.

Applicants to honors programs should apply using The Common Application and must follow additional procedures.

 

Option 2: The SUNY Application allows you to apply to several SUNY campuses with one application. SUNY applicants should submit the SUNY Supplement, which includes an essay of at least 250 words, and one Teacher/Counselor Evaluation pdf. The fee is $50.

Submit the following:

- High school transcript(s) using one of the following options:

  1. Self-report your academic record using STARS.

    OR

  2. Ask your high school to submit your transcript electronically through The Common Application's School Forms System.

    OR

  3. Ask your high school to fax or mail us your official high school transcript, along with the Transmittal Form pdf.
- SAT or ACT (with writing) scores should be reported directly from the testing agency. SAT code: 2548; ACT code: 2952.

Submit the following:

    OR


  2. Ask your high school to submit your transcript electronically through SUNY's CounselorConnect System.

    OR

  3. Ask your high school to fax or mail us your official high school transcript, along with the Transmittal Form pdf.

- SAT or ACT (with writing) scores should be reported directly from the testing agency. SAT code: 2548; ACT code: 2952.

Fax printed documents to (631) 632-9898. Credentials faxed directly from the high school should not be mailed. Send items that cannot be faxed to:
