    The University of Auckland is New Zealand's number one university, ranked in the world's top 50 universities, and top in New Zealand for research. Students may select courses from a wide range of disciplines, from architecture and arts to science and technology. Students directly enroll in University courses alongside other New Zealand students. The University of Auckland is a member of "Universitas 21".

    Course of Study

    *Students must maintain full-time status while abroad

    The program will have a broad selection of courses. Students will also have the opportunity to interact and make friends with their peers from around the globe.

    This is a partner university program. Applications must be submitted to Stony Brook University first. Information regarding the next steps in the process will be distributed to students who have received formal nominations by their International Programs Coordinator.

    Students must be matriculated in an undergraduate degree program.

    Transfer Students: Two semesters completed at SBU with grades posted is required

    Sophomores and above

    Application Deadline

    Fall/Academic Year Admission: February 15

    Spring Admission: September 1 (Deadline extended to October 1)

    Candidates may be interviewed to determine their qualifications for participating and representing Stony Brook University abroad.

    $ 3,335 per semester for NY residents



    $12,090 per semester for non-residents

    Program Fee $750 per semester
    Administrative Fee

    $200 (non-refundable)

    International Health Insurance $55 per month approximately. Note: The host university may also require a domestic health plan, and will send details regarding costs to students directly
    Other Fees $6,460-$8,160 (approximately; Students pay room, board, books, transportation and other university fees directly to overseas university
    Travel Costs $2,025-$2,325 (approximately; Students are responsible for their travel arrangements including airfare, visa costs)
    Costs are estimates for planning purposes of the student and are subject to change at any point.
