Grant students permission to enroll in courses when appropriate. Instances where a class permission is needed includes:

• When a course is set up to require permission to add or drop a course
• An override of some type is needed (prerequisite, closed class etc)
• For variable credit courses permission will also need to include the # of credits they student is taking the course for

Students can be deregistered from courses for one of the following reasons:

• no longer satisfies the course requirements
• course is no longer being offered
• not meeting course attendance policies
