Request Access to Student Information Systems

This page is for Stony Brook University employees who need access to systems containing student-related data.

The Office of the Registrar is one of several campus offices that manage and approve access to student information systems. Access is granted only to current employees with supervisor authorization and a verified business need.

Before Submitting a Request

Confirm that you are requesting access from the appropriate data custodian. Many campus units maintain their own access forms and approval processes for specific systems.

Step 1 – Complete the Account Request Form
Fill out the appropriate form based on the access you need. Forms are listed below.

Step 2 – Submit the Form
Email the completed form to SR_Security@stonybrook.edu.

Step 3 – Respond to Follow-Up Requests
Depending on the type of access requested, EAI Security may contact you for additional information or approvals.

Processing Time

Most requests are processed within 5–10 business days after submission.
