Community Update: Vision Workshops
April 25, 2022
Dear Stony Brook University Community Members,
Earlier this month, I shared updates with the campus community on the progress of
Project REACH and the work of our Vision Committee. I am pleased to announce that the committee completed its draft narrative for what
Stony Brook will have achieved by 2027 - our aspirations for the future.
You are now invited to review and discuss this draft in one of our two-hour brainstorming
workshops via Zoom. During each workshop, participants will learn about the process
for how the narrative was created, have an opportunity to react and respond to the
overall vision, and then participate in two breakout groups regarding key themes of
interest. We look forward to having a diverse and engaged group of students, faculty,
and staff from every corner of campus participate in these workshops.
Workshops will take place on:
-
Thursday, May 5th: 10 a.m. to noon (register by Tuesday, May 3, at 5 p.m.)
-
Thursday, May 5th: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. (register by Tuesday, May 3, at 5 p.m.)
-
Monday, May 9th: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (register by Friday, May 6, at 5 p.m.)
-

Don't miss this opportunity to contribute your ideas and feedback into the final draft
of the vision narrative. Please click here to register. Space at each workshop is limited, so we encourage registration as soon
as possible.
