Jacob Smith

Biography:
I am a PhD student advised by Prof. Elizabeth Worcester who is broadly interested in neutrino oscillations, the search for sterile neutrinos, and the interface of particle physics and machine learning. These interests have led me to pursue my thesis work in Fermilab’s Short Baseline Neutrino program (SBND and ICARUS). I have also previously worked on the MINERvA and (Proto)DUNE experiments doing simulation/analysis work and some R&D for ProtoDUNE’s cold electronics. When I’m not in the office, I can be found woodworking, hiking, and talking about frogs. I joined the group in 2022.
