Valerio Dao recieves Outstanding Faculty Award
Nominated by graduating senior undergraduate students in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Prof. Dao has been selected to receive this department honor!

The 5th C.N. Yang Colloquium will be given by Dr. Sheldon Glashow who shared the 1979 Nobel Prize in Physics for his contribution to the theory of the unified weak and electromagnetic interaction. The title of his talk is, "My Memories of Frank Yang". This colloquium is even more special as we commemorate Prof. CN "Frank" Yang who passed away last year and Yang–Mills theory provided the gauge-theory framework for the Standard Model, whose development began with Dr. Glashow’s groundbreaking 1961 paper on electroweak unification.
