Chamber Music
ABOUT
Graduate students perform chamber works of all genres, stylistic periods and instrumentations, old and new. The performances draw from rigorous chamber courses, including Christina Dahl’s duo seminar, Gilbert Kalish’s trio seminar and the Emerson String Quartet Institute (ESQI). The ESQI provides training for student string quartets, which receive regular coaching from members of the Emerson Quartet. Additional chamber music concerts in the community will be added during the year. Check the department website for an up-to-date list of concerts, repertoire and concert locations throughout the season. Chamber Music is directed by Professor Jennifer Frautschi.
