The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)

IPEDS is a system of survey components of about 7,500 higher education institutions that provides data to the federal government and other policymakers about higher education. It is the principal source of national higher education statistics and provides foundational national definitions and data standards for higher education data.
