Where is the Homecoming BBQ taking place?
Join us in the LaValle Stadium parking lot to be in on all the pre-game action!
I pre-registered online. Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets can be picked up at the Homecoming BBQ starting at 12:30 pm the day of Homecoming.
All pre-purchased tickets should be picked up before 3:00 pm to ensure you are there
before the food and beverage stations close at 3:15 pm.
What activities will be at the Homecoming BBQ?
Food, inflatables, balloon artists, games, and more.
What does a Homecoming BBQ ticket include?
A ticket includes unlimited food and non-alcoholic drinks. (Access to inflatables,
games, music and activities are easily accessible in the Lavalle Stadium Parking Lot.)
Do Homecoming BBQ tickets include a ticket to the football game?
We are offering packages that include a discounted football ticket if you pre-register.
Limited number of football tickets are available.
When do the food and drink stations close at the BBQ?
Last call is at 3:00 pm. All food and beverage stations close at 3:15 pm. The Homecoming
BBQ ends at 3:30 pm.
Can I transfer my ticket to another person?
Homecoming BBQ tickets are transferable upon request. Email advancementevents@stonybrook.edu or call (631) 632-4466.
Can I bring my pet?
The only animals allowed at Homecoming are service animals with proper I.D. Pets are
not allowed.
Can I smoke or use tobacco products?
Stony Brook University is tobacco-free, which means smoking or using tobacco products
at Homecoming or on the University campus is prohibited. Learn more about our smoke-free initiative.
Can I bring my own food into the Homecoming BBQ?
No outside food or beverages are allowed into the Homecoming BBQ. For dietary concerns
including food allergies, please email advancementevents@stonybrook.edu or call (631) 632-4466.
What kind of food will be served?
Menu:
All-American Station: Beef burger bar with toppings, halal BBQ grilled chicken sandwich,
vegetable burgers served with house chips & roasted potato salad.
Sausage & Pepper Station: Sausage & pepper hero, grilled eggplant muffaletta, chicken
fingers served with tortellini salad.
New England Station: Fish & chips, clam chowder, served with cole slaw.
Dessert Station: Mini apple cider donuts, candied apples, red & white cookies, churro
bites with caramel dipping sauce.
Beverages: Iced tea, lemonade, water, hot apple cider.
How are the pictures taken at the Homecoming BBQ used after the event?
Select photos from the event can be viewed on the University Advancement's Flickr page. In addition, please note that images taken at the BBQ of you and those in your party
could be used in University promotional materials. Please contact the Advancement
Events Office at (631) 632-4466 with any questions or concerns.
Is there a charge for parking?
Parking will be available to guests in the North P and Administration lots at no charge.
Parking in the LaValle Stadium Lot will only be available to fans who have purchased
a season permit through Athletics.
