Notes:
1. Those students with enough language proficiency to satisfy the intermediate level (200 level) will complete a total of 36 credits for a Spanish major, and 30 credits for a Double Major or Teaching Program).
2. Students who need to take SPN 200 level courses will complete a total of 42 credits.
3. Do you know Spanish? See our Placement and Challenge Exams information here. Students of Spanish-speaking background may take the Challenge examination for SPN 310/311. Please, email our Undergraduate Director.
4. The Department requires transfer students to take at least 18 credits of Spanish courses in residence at Stony Brook to complete a Spanish major.
5. With proper authorization, undergraduate students could take a limited number of MA (500 level) courses (see Enrollment forms).
6. For Major/Minor declaration, plesse use SOLAR.
