    Bio/Research

I received a PhD in science from the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University, Japan, in 2010. I was a Post-doctoral Research Scientist at the Hydrospheric Atmospheric Research Center from 2010 to 2012 and at the Pennsylvania State University from 2012 to 2015.

I have an interest in radar polarimetry, mixed-phase clouds microphysics, radar simulators. I have been studying dynamics and microphysics of ice and mixed-phase clouds and shallow cumulus clouds using a forward radar simulator and field observation data including millimeter-wavelength polarimetric radars and lidars. Main objectives are to retrieve habits and types of ice crystals in precipitation clouds and cloud properties of shallow cumulus clouds.

I have experiences in analysis using radar Doppler spectra and polarimetric variables for cloud microphysics in conjunction with lidar measurements.
