Digital Accessibility

Stony Brook University believes that accessibility of digital services and content is essential for the equitable participation of people with disabilities. Consistent with this belief and the goals of the diversity plan, we continue to grow our Accessibility Program. The Program grew out of our Electronic Information Technology Plan. Developed by a broad crosssection of faculty and staff from across the university, the Plan continues to guide the actions of our Accessibility Program.

In January of 2022, we published Stony Brook Universities Digital Accessibility policy. The policy serves to establish digital accessibility as a requirement in the technologies, processes, and procedures in place throughout the enterprise. The Digital Accessibility procedure serves as a roadmap for divisions, Departments, as well as individual faculty and Staff to comply with the policy.

We encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources available on our training page. If you have questions, please contact digital_accessibility@stonybrook.edu.
