Preliminary schedule (note all events are virtual)

Friday, 5th February

10:00am-11:00am: Accepted/prospective students meet with S. Baines and J .Rest

11:30am-12:30pm: Department tour for prospective students

12:30pm-01:30pm: Group Soup

Meet up in Spatial Chat to hang out and eat lunch.

  02:00pm-04:00pm: Opportunity for meeting with host labs

In conjunction with the Admissions Committees, we will reach out to faculty and let them know which prospective students have been invited to the retreat.

04:00pm-05:00pm: Graduate student panel

Prospective students will have a chance to meet and talk with current students.

06:00pm-07:30pm: Social activity

Jackbox Games via Zoom!  Everyone is invited!


Saturday, 6th February

11:00am-12:30pm: Student/faculty talks

01:15pm-03:00pm: Lab poster session via Spatial Chat

Learn more about the work going on in E&E labs.

Department Awards will be announced at the start of the poster session.

03:30pm-04:30pm: Alumni panel

A moderated discussion with E&E graduates, Abigail Cahill (Assistant Professor, Albion College), Jessie Stanton (B iologist, U.S. Geological Survey at the Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center) and Phil McDowall (Software Engineer, Google) about careers after E&E.
