Laboratory of Dr. Brian Sheridan

B.A. Biology, 2012, Hofstra University
M.S. Biotechnology, 2015, New York University

Having a broad range of interests, I found myself in search of a research focus I was passionate about after receiving my B.A. degree in biology at Hofstra University. I went on to obtain a M.S. in biotechnology at New York University where I fostered a growing interest in tumor immunology while simultaneously volunteering in the Department of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). Shortly thereafter, I was hired at CUMC where I finished the last credits of my NYU coursework to graduate with a master's degree. I decided to continue to gain laboratory experience by remaining in Dr. Timothy Wang's lab where I worked as a research assistant and studied immunotherapies in gastrointestinal cancers. In the fall of 2017, I joined Stony Brook University's Ph.D. program in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, and subsequently joined Dr. Brian Sheridan's lab in the Spring of 2018. In the Sheridan lab, I plan to study various aspects of gamma delta T-cell memory as well as the development and feasibility of listeria-based vaccines.
