IEEE Places at Micromouse Competitions
Micromouse is a competition where an autonomous robot path finds its way around an unknown maze to find the center. There are multiple paths to the center and competitors' mice must find the optimal route and execute it.
Stony Brook University's IEEE student organization recently attended two Micromouse competitions. At MIT's Micromouse Competition, Stony Brook's WolfRatAlpha won Best Design. Stony Brook's WolfRatSigma won 2nd Place overall.
At the Region 1 and Region 2 Joint Student Conference, which encompasses colleges from Maine to West Virginia, WolfRatAlpha won 1st place and WolfRatSigma won 3rd place.
