Meet Moiz
Biomedical engineering piqued Moiz’s interest through its intersection of medicine
and engineering, combining his curiosity about human physiology with the hands-on
nature of designing devices to improve patient care. Having lived in several countries
before coming to Stony Brook, Moiz was exposed to different cultures, communities,
and challenges. These experiences further inspired him to pursue opportunities that
could positively impact people from a variety of backgrounds.Beyond the classroom,
Moiz has been conducting undergraduate research in the Martin Lab, led by Dr. Benjamin
Martin, where researchers use zebrafish to study stem cell biology and tissue development,
with the goal of advancing our understanding of regenerative medicine. Outside of
research, Moiz continues to advocate for students through his campus leadership roles
as a CEAS Peer Mentor and a USG senator.
Olu '26 graduated this spring with a degree in TSM. She reflects on her time as a
CEAS student and her future as a full-time Systems Engineer after graduation. The Printing Structures Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) team project focuses
on the design, development, and optimization of an intermediate-scale 3D concrete
printer Dev '19 graduated from SBU with a degree in Information Systems. He currently works
for the U.S. Department of Labor.
