Catherine (Kate) Connolly, PhD
Senior Data and Planning Analyst
Kate is an engineer, scientist, and scholar with expertise in mixed-methods research,
visualizing complex data, and statistical modeling. She brings more than 10 years
of experience spanning academic research, federal and state government consulting,
and community engagement.
Kate earned her PhD at the Boston University School of Public Health where her dissertation
research focused on modeling indoor air quality, energy efficiency, climate, and health
in schools and multi-family residences. Most recently, she worked at The Cadmus Group,
a government consulting firm, on data management, analysis, and visualization products
for FEMA. Kate has also worked in healthcare technology and collaborated with environmental
justice coalitions and local community groups to address pressing environmental health
issues. She is thrilled to be at Stony Brook and looks forward to leading numerous
data-driven initiatives.
