The School of Health Professions Alumni Chapter plays a vital role in strengthening and sustaining meaningful connections among alumni, current students, residents, fellows, and the school community. Through service, engagement and philanthropy, our alumni provide invaluable support to both present and future generations with the variety of degrees held within this profession.
We invite you to remain actively connected by contributing your time, expertise and leadership. Together, we uphold the pride, tradition and excellence that define the School of Health Professions.

Alumni Mission and Key Initiatives
Welcome and Support Alumni
- Foster lifelong connections among alumni nationwide through meaningful engagement and programming.
- Celebrate alumni achievements by sharing news and honoring excellence through the Distinguished Alumni and Outstanding Recent Alumni Award programs.
- Support professional growth and connection by participating in national and regional conferences, including alumni receptions that bring together alumni, students and school leadership for networking and school updates.
- Provide leadership, strategic guidance and alumni representation through monthly committee meetings representing the school’s various majors to strengthen alumni engagement, foster meaningful connections and strategically advance the School of Health Professions philanthropically and educationally in support of institutional priorities.
Support Current School of Health Professions Students
- Provide financial and professional support through scholarships.
- Offer alumni‑led mentoring, career development and professional programming.

Make an Impact
There are a variety of options for you to support the School of Health Professions.
SHP Dean’s Fund for Excellence: provides essential discretionary financial support, giving the dean the flexibility to respond to the school’s greatest needs and/or act quickly when opportunities arise.
SHP Student Support Fund: to benefit students by providing scholarships, grants and travel grants. To support research activities and to attend meetings at off-campus locations. To benefit students of allied health professions.
Carlos Vidal Memorial Scholarship Fund: The Carlos Vidal Memorial Scholarship provides support to undergraduate students in the Schools of Health Professions and social welfare, with a focus on those who participate in campus activities, student groups or otherwise demonstrate a commitment to the campus community.
