About the Spirit of Stony Brook Alumni Band
The Spirit of Stony Brook Alumni Band (SOSBAB) was formed to promote and advance the
interests of the Stony Brook University Athletic Bands, and to foster closer fellowship
among Spirit of Stony Brook alumni and with current collegiate members. SOSBAB membership
is open to all former members of the Spirit of Stony Brook, and is intended to respect
and honor the traditions and legacy of the Spirit of Stony Brook and Stony Brook University.
Our annual events include a Preseason Ice Cream Social with members of the collegiate
band, Alumni Band Reunion Day (Homecoming), an SOSBAB Spring Basketball Reunion Game,
a Spring Mixer with graduating seniors during Spirit of Stony Brook Spring Concert
Weekend, and a summer social event.
