- Research focused on cancer epidemiology and prevention for firefighters and other populations
- Worked on research in the Department of Psychiatry at Stony Brook University with World Trade Center and Hurricane Sandy responders
- Raised funds to create PPE for vulnerable community members in Glen Cove and pediatric surgical caps for Cohen Children’s Medical Center
- Serves as project director of the Nassau County Age-Friendly Center of Excellence in Glen Cove and volunteers as a program administrator of the City of Glen Cove’s Age-Friendly Glen Cove initiative to improve the design of communities to support healthy aging
