• 15 years ago, founded the Peruvian NGO Yunkawasi to promote nature conservation and wellbeing of Amazonian communities.
• Research focused on the diversity, hunting sustainability and ecological studies of primates and big mammals
• Worked with the Peruvian government to bring attention to the critically endangered yellow-tailed woolly monkey
• Had her photograph of the of the endangered yellow-tailed woolly monkey used in the design of a Peruvian coin to raise awareness about the threat of extinction of indigenous animals
