URECA Programs at a Glance

The URECA Summer Program supports SB students doing faculty-mentored research for 10 weeks - open to students in all majors/disciplines.

The Explorations in STEM program (a URECA Summer track) supports SB students doing faculty-mentored research for 10 weeks- features weekly professional development workshops.

The Velay Fellowship (a URECA Summer track) program supports supports SB students doing full-time faculty-mentored research for 10 weeks in Astronomy, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Sciences, Engineering Chemistry, Geology, and/or Physics.

The REACT: Research Entry Accelerator for College Transfers program introduces opportunities to get involved in research to incoming Seawolves at Suffolk participants. No prior research experience needed.

This Spring semester program introduces first year students to research in the humanities or social sciences. Participants receive supportive programming such as library instruction & workshops. No prior experience is necessary.

Support for students presenting at professional meetings OR for the purchase of non-routine materials or supplies related to faculty-mentored research or creative activities.

Provides up to $1,000 to an undergraduate to help facilitate research projects at the intersection of Business and Humanities.
