Meal Exchanges
What is a Meal Exchange?
- A meal exchange is a meal plan benefit that lets eligible students redeem one of their allotted meal exchanges for a meal exchange menu option from a participating retail location instead of paying with Dining Dollars, Wolfie Wallet, or Debit/Credit. Each participating location offers a designated meal exchange menu, allowing students to enjoy a complete meal using their meal exchange benefit.
- Meal exchanges do not roll over. Any remaining meal exchanges are forfeited at the end of each semester.
Who is eligible?
- Only students who are on the SBU Premium meal plan receive Meal Exchanges.
How do I Redeem a Meal Exchange?
- A meal exchange can be used at participating retail dining locations to purchase one eligible meal from a designated Meal Exchange menu. Simply select a qualifying meal and use one Meal Exchange to pay for that meal.
- 54 Meal Exchanges are loaded onto your student ID at the beginning of the semester and can be used up to two times per day.
- Make sure to let the cashier know you would like to use a meal exchange before placing your order.
- To use a meal exchange on a self-order kiosk, simply press "Meal Exchange" on the payment screen.
