Yuxuan Lin

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program

Yuxuan is a PhD student in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology program at Stony Brook University. She studies pituitary stem cell genetics to better understand how tissues are formed and maintained. Her broader interests center on developmental biology and the molecular mechanisms that guide cell fate and organ formation.

Yuxuan applied to the fellowship to pursue ambitious research in developmental biology while continuing a commitment to mentorship and accessible science.

She is looking forward to pursuing her research in pituitary stem cell genetics with greater independence and flexibility. She is also excited to connect with other NSF fellows in other fields and gain broader insight and skills beyond life science.
