Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Campus Endorsement Deadline: Monday August 24, 2026
Prestigious, nationally competitive awards for a year of teaching English, conducting independen research, or graduate study in partner countries. All majors/disciplines are eligible and foreign language proficiency not necessarily required.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduates who will be graduating in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027
- Graduate students who will not yet have received their PhD by Fall 2026
- Recent alumni
- All majors/disciplines
- U.S. citizens
- Must meet any country-specific requirements
- Must apply by the Campus Endorsement Deadline

Overview
If you are an undergraduate who will be graduating in Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027, plan to apply through Stony Brook by the August 24, 2026 Fulbright Campus Endorsement Deadline. Graduate students who will not have received their PhD by this date are also eligible to apply, as are recent alumni. These awards provide funding to travel overseas to conduct research (any field, most often dissertation related), teach English abroad as a Teaching Assistant, or enroll in a Master's program for the 2027-28 academic year. Foreign language proficiency is not necessarily required; please review the award description for details. A campus nomination is required and late applications will not be considered.
Campus Deadline: Monday, August 24, 2026.
