Biography
Giancarlo La Camera develops and analyzes mathematical and computational models of
brain processes. His research focuses on the dynamics of neural activity and how these
dynamics give rise to perception, learning, memory, and decision-making. He is particularly
interested in understanding how large networks of neurons organize their activity,
represent information, and support flexible behavior. His broader interests include
biologically inspired computation and its potential applications to artificial intelligence
and neuro-AI.
